Martin Lewis explains how to get Apple TV for just £2 - but you'll have to be quick

Martin Lewis has revealed a trick that can get you six months’ worth of Apple TV+ for as little as £2.

The offer is open to those who shop at Currys and it involves purchasing one of its Black Friday deals to get a six-month free trial with the streaming service.

Apple TV+ normally costs £6.99 a month, meaning you'd spend £41.94 for six months' use normally - so this trick could save you just under £40.

While there are lots of other deals offering free Apple TV+ streaming, MoneySavingExpert says this is currently the cheapest way to do it.

You can check if an item at Curry's qualifies for the offer by searching for "Get 6 months Apple TV+ Free" in the search listing or product page.

According to MoneySavingExpert, the cheapest eligible items at the moment are:

  • 50-pack of Kodak photo paper for £1.99 – free collection in-store
  • Logik car charger for £2.97 collection, or £6.97 delivered.
  • Logik earphones for £2.99 collection, or £6.99 delivered.

This means if you were to buy the 50-pack of Kodak photo paper, your six month Apple TV+ subscription would cost just £1.99.

But shoppers will need to be quick, as qualifying items must be purchased by 11.59pm today, Tuesday 29 November.

If you don’t actually need any of the cheapest listed items, you may be better off spending more on items you’ll make good use of, as you can still make a significant saving.

Once you’ve purchased your items, you’ll receive an email within ten days of purchase with instructions on how to sign up for your free Apple TV+.

You’ll need to sign up by Thursday, December 29.

It’s important to note that once your six month free streaming is up, you’ll be automatically enrolled onto a paid subscription, costing £6.99 a month.

If you don’t want to keep it, you’ll have to make sure you cancel on time - so make a note in your diary so you don't forget.

You can also only qualify for the deal if:

  • You’re not a current Apple TV+ subscriber – it doesn't matter if you have subscribed previously, as long as you don't have an active subscription right now

  • You haven't had a free trial for Apple TV+ via Currys or Carphone Warehouse before

Martin first flagged the deal on Twitter, where he said: "Certain to end tomorrow midnight (or sooner if it is pulled) how many can get 6mths Apple TV for £2 (normally £7/mth) alongside lots of other TV streaming services cost cutting info..."
