Martin Lewis explains how to get £230 M&S Christmas advent calendar for £70

Martin Lewis shared a loophole for Marks and Spencer customers which could save them hundreds on their Christmas shop.

Last year, the MoneySavingExpert recommended buying an M&S Beauty Advent Calendar containing products worth hundreds.

Martin revealed a way that shoppers can get their hands on the calendar for a fraction of the price.

He told shoppers it may be worth buying one of the calendars and splitting up the insides into separate Christmas gifts.

The new Marks and Spencer 2022 calendar costs just £40 when you spend £30 on the M&S website - so you're spending £70 in total.

Martin explained the hack to viewers on ITV ’s Money Show Live.

M&S says the advent calendar is worth £300 but Martin disputes this and says he puts the figure at £230.

Martin told viewers: “This is a way that you can bag beauty products at a fraction of the normal cost and they often sell out early.”

He continued: "This is the big one. I reckon it’s worth around £230, costs you £40, but you can only get it if you spend £30 on non-food stuff in M&S.

“The fact you have to spend £30, you may as well do that anyway because even for £70 if you want the stuff in it, it’s worth it."

This year's advent calendar is worth even more than last year's and features big designer names, including L'Occitane, Clinique and REN.

Also included in the calendar are nine skincare products, three bath and body, three makeup, two nail products, two fragrances and six haircare products.
