A rush on stamps is possible after TV viewers were alerted to price hikes next month.

Martin Lewis advised people to stock up on stamps for this Christmas now. The advice came during a cost of living special of his ITV show on Tuesday evening in which he also talked about how to ward off the effects of impending energy price hikes.

Martin Lewis Money Show viewers were warned the cost of stamps and prescriptions will increase from April 4. The price of first class stamps will rise from 85p to 95p and the cost of second class stamps will increase by 2p to 68p.
