Martin Brundle's brutal response after Cara Delevingne shuts down his attempt to chat at Silverstone

A Sky Sports F1 presenter delivered a brutal response after a supermodel shut down his attempt to have a chat on TV.

Martin Brundle attempted to speak to Cara Delevingne during his grid walk at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday. The broadcaster told viewers: "We've got Cara Delevingne here, we'll see if we can just stand in the way really."

Mirror Online reports how he was initially rebuffed by a member of staff but persisted, telling them: "She doesn't want to talk? But everybody has to talk on the grid. That's the deal now, everybody talks on the grid."

He then asked Delevingne: "Can we have a quick chat? Sky F1, good to see you on the grid." When she replied "no", Brundle told her: "Well the deal is everybody has to speak on the grid, but you know".

Brundle eventually gave up when Delevingne replied: "I can't hear anything. I'm so sorry."As he began to walk in way, he said: "Ok, alright, well I'm sure that would have been extremely interesting."

The presenter managed to enjoy chats with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, former One Direction member Liam Payne, actress Florence Pugh and singer Sam Ryder.

Reigning F1 world champion Max Verstappen won the British Grand Prix, extending his lead at the top of the driver standings to 99 points as he made it six race wins in a row.

Home favourites Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton joined him on the podium, finishing second and third respectively.
