Martin Boyle has opened up on his whirlwind return to Hibs and the phone call that sees him take his place on the bench for the Edinburgh Derby.
Hearts have made the short trip across the capital to Easter Road as Lee Johnson and Robbie Neilson lock horns for the first time this season. Both clubs picked up opening game wins and go into the showdown full of confidence and aiming to lay down an early marker.
The Hibees have been boosted by the return of fans' favourite Boyle following his sort stint at Al-Faisaly in Saudi Arabia. He departed the club at the start of the year in a life-changing transfer but he is now back in the capital and has been named on the bench in a major boost to both the players and supporters ahead of their showdown with the Jambos. Boyle admits everything has happened really quickly but says there is no better game to come into than an Edinburgh Derby as he hopes to mark his return with an appearance from the bench.

Speaking pre-match to Sky Sports, he said: "It’s been a bit of a whirlwind. I’ve been back in Edinburgh and spoke to the manager a lot.
"They pushed for it and it was something I was keen to do and thankfully we got it over the line. It was an easy decision. My family and friends are here.
"I got a phone call last night, it happened pretty quickly and there’s no better game to come into so hopefully if I get on the pitch I can make an impact. The derby has come fast and I’m sure the squad will be fired up."
