Martha Stewart has been a longtime friend of Snoop Dog's, but the legendary TV personality has cemented her fondness for the rapper for eternity buy getting his face inked on her shoulder.
The 81-year-old icon took to Instagram on Friday to unveil a new tattoo dedicated to her best friend, featuring the rapper’s face and the words My Dogg in fancy calligraphy underneath.
“Thanks for the amazing tattoo @scottcampbell. Forever linked in ink to my favorite @snoopdogg," she captioned the image.
Although Martha and Snoop have been best pals for several years now, some disbelieving fans have been left convinced that the tattoo is actually fake, with others insisting it could be an advertisement for the upcoming 2023 Super Bowl.
"There's no way in hell that tattoo is real. It must be fake," one quipped.
"Martha!!!!! What on earth? Snoop is a cool dude, but a tattoo? What have you done," someone else commented.
While a third said: "This HAS to be a joke. My guess it's for the Super Bowl."
Martha and Snoop first met when he appeared on The Martha Stewart Show back in 2008.
After hitting it off on the show, the pair became best friends, and by 2014 they had developed a relationship based on online banter until the TV personality said she wished they were 'closer friends' during a Reddit As Me Anything.
Martha even wrote about their 'special bond' in the foreword of Snoop’s 2018 cookbook, From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes From tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen as she expressed her fondness for the rapper.
“Our relationship was born from our connection to food as we whipped up some cognac mashed potatoes and green brownies," she said.
"Working with Snoop in the kitchen has been a remarkable experience for me. Not only has he taught me new lingo and cultural references, he surprised me with his unique cooking techniques and recipes.”
Elsewhere, back in 2016, Snoop Dogg told Rolling Stone Magazine: “I’ve never met anyone like Martha Stewart.
"When we come together, it’s a natural combination of love, peace, and harmony.”
