Farmers got a surprise when a group of about 10 women on a hen do decided to go to a Leitrim market and try their best to distract the auctioneer with some funny antics.
The women who were kitted out in the full hen attire decided to take a break from the usual pub crawl to pay a visit to the mart. They made their way to the auctioneer, where they started having a bit of craic with the attendees in the crowd.
The hilarious moment was captured on camera and Carrigallen Mart posted it on their Facebook page with the caption: "Nothing distracts a good auctioneer, best wishes to Anne & her crazy hen party."

The surprising visit was welcomed with reportedly everyone seeing the fun in the situation. One person commented on the post: "I think I will start going to the mart", with another adding: "Class."
There was also praise for the auctioneer, with one person commenting: "Very impressed with that auctioneer, he is the ultimate professional."
The auctioneer in question Michael O'Reilly told the Farmers Journal: "I was in the process of looking around to see the person in the box who was selling the cattle and was unexpectedly greeted by a bunch of ladies.
I didn't quite catch on at first who the girls were, but it was actually a neighbour. It was different and definitely a bit of craic. I kept on taking bids and seen that the hen party might have had a slight help on the trade."
He added: “You'd see a lot of different things come through the mart doors, but you wouldn't expect a hen party."
