Married At First Sight UK star opens up about health scares after being hospitalised following birth

New mum Tayah Victoria looked radiant after returning home from hospital after a health scare. The Married At First Sight UK star is thrilled to be enjoying time with her husband Adam Aveling and their adorable baby girl Beau after being hospitalised days after giving birth.

The reality star spent five days in hospital being treated for a nasty case of the painful breast infection mastitis. The estate agent says she also had the baby blues - low mood believed to be caused by hormone changes - after welcoming her first child with personal trainer Adam, who she married on the 2021 series of the E4 matchmaking show.

Tayah took to Instagram to share a photo of the proud parents with their daughter as she shared her joy at finally being 'out and about.' She and Adam beamed in the snap as they cradled Beau who was swaddled in a cosy cream fleecy suit.

"After 5 days in hospital last week with a nasty case of mastitis I finally feel up to being out and about and enjoying our new born bubble," she typed. "My heart is so full, I love my little family beyond words."

Tayah said the messages of support she has received through this difficult time have 'got her through.' "I couldn't be more grateful for your lovely messages you guys have sent me. They've honestly got me through the last few weeks, from the baby blues to the time in hospital. They haven't gone unnoticed."

She added: "I can't wait to share our parenthood journey with you." Her co-star Megan Wolfe responded with love hearts and Married At First Sight UK 2022 stars April Banbury and Chanita Stephenson sent streams of love heart-eyes emojis.

Last weekend Adam posted a picture of himself cuddling baby Beau as the Liverpool FC fan watched his team take on Manchester City at Anfield on the TV. "Spending the weekend in hospital again. So Beau is watching her first Liverpool game right here with me," he wrote.

He reassured: "Beau is fine btw. Tay has a nasty case of Mastitis, but is on the mend." According to the NHS mastitis is when the breast becomes swollen, hot and painful. It's most common in breastfeeding women, but women who are not breastfeeding and men can also get it.

The pair met and fell in love on the show which sees singletons marry strangers after meeting for the first time as they walk up the aisle. They revealed that they were expecting their first child back in April, almost a year since the pair were put together by relationship experts.

Revealing the happy news, Tayah told OK! : "We’re so excited. And the thing is we weren’t even trying! It just happened. I can’t believe it. We’re obviously just very fertile."

After Beau made her entrance into the world with Tayah took to Instagram to reveal the first photo and name of their first child. "7th October, the day our lives completely changed," the new mum typed alongside a photo of the family-of-three in hospital.

"Introducing you all to our precious girl, Beau Emily Aveling, we are completely besotted, she is perfect in every single way." Tayah added oin tribute to her man: "To my Adam, I didn’t think I could love you even more but seeing you with our daughter completely fills my heart.

"Just want to say a massive thank you to Doncaster hospital, for going above and beyond to reassure me and to the amazing lady who stayed after her shift had finished to deliver our girl."

She ended her post, which included a sweet photo of their newborn daughter wrapped in a pink blanket, and sharing her name: "Welcome to the world our darling Beau."

Adam also announced his and Tayah's arrival with a picture of him carrying Beau in a car seat as they left the hospital following her birth. "Welcome to the world Beau Emily Aveling. 07/10/22," he typed. "I will never forgot the moment me and your mum first clocked eyes on you. I will never forget the look in your mums eyes. Her eyes saying a thousand words!

"What mothers have to go through to bring a baby to this world is incredible. And you did absolutely amazing @tayah victoria and I’m so proud of you!

"Starting a family and becoming a Dad is all I’ve ever wanted. Thank you to the amazing health workers at Doncaster hospital and especially to the midwife who stayed long after her shift to stay with us and deliver her! The NHS is amazing and needs protecting and funding at all costs!"

The new dad went on to reveal: "We filmed through the hospital as we wanted to share a bit more of our journey, seen as though most of you watched the very first time we met each other, which we will be sharing to our YouTube Channel soon!"
