Married At First Sight UK has reportedly been rocked by a string of infidelity as Whitney Hughes is said to have cheated on Duka Cavoli with co-star Matt Murray.
Tattooed Matt, 32, also betrayed his wife Gemma Rose as he spent the night with 31-year-old Whitney during a couple's retreat. Their respective partners were also at the getaway.
Things hadn't been going well for Whitney and Duka, 31, with the pair clashing in a heated row as Whitney accused her groom of being "fake". She also refused to get a replacement ring after losing her wedding band during their honeymoon.
Matt's partner Gemma, 30, will reportedly break down in tears when the betrayal comes to light in scenes yet to air on the E4 series.
"Whitney and Matt truly shocked the other members of the cast by cheating on their partners – not only because of the hurt it caused but the circumstances too.
"The pairs had gone away to a couples retreat and were there to focus on their relationships, but Whitney and Matt had other ideas.
"Gemma, who thought she had met the love of her life in Matt, was devastated, while Duka had put his all into giving his marriage with Whitney a chance," a TV insider told Mail Online.
A representative for MAFS UK declined to comment.
Whitney faced backlash from viewers during the show's first episode, after the personal assistant said she was on the hunt for a "massive brick house of a man", but described Duka as a "shed".
Fans of the show criticised the bride for failing to give her husband a chance, as she confessed at the alter that she was tempted to "run".
Gemma and Matt married midway through the series, with Gemma, who owns a hairdressing business, believing she had found "the one".
After admitting that men are sometimes "intimidated" by her tattoos, she thought she had met her match with Matt who is also covered in ink and runs a barbershop.
However, their romance hit the rocks when Gemma expressed her sexual desires towards Matt and made comments he found inappropriate at their wedding.
He said: "It's too much for me. It makes me feel uncomfortable. I'll be straight with you last night I was done – I had enough."
Married At First Sight UK airs weeknights at 9pm on E4.
