While most places are reminiscing on all the debauchery that took place in 2024, the big dawgs at Channel Nine have wasted no time in dropping its first teaser for Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025.
Just like a hot bombshell entering the villa — oh wait that’s another show — Channel Nine has finally shared its first OFFICIAL look at MAFS 2025.
Taking to its official social media pages, the MAFS gods posted a two-minute-long teaser into next year’s shenanigans and I must say, it is jam-packed with drama, tears and horny moments.
But before we dissect all the little scenes we get to have a glimpse at, take a geeze below at the drama-fuelled trailer.
Oh me, oh my. I just know the Facebook wine mums are going to ~froth~ MAFS 2025. I can just imagine all the discussion pages popping off after each episode, each status covered in gifs and memes with Impact font.
Kicking things off, in pure MAFS style, the trailer begins with a bunch of participants walking slowly through the venues where they’re about to sell their souls for Aussie entertainment… I mean take a chance at love.
While we don’t know who’s being paired with who just yet — heck there’s not even an official cast list from Channel Nine — you can kinda tell who’s been matched based on the mise en scene.
As a bunch of victims MAFS participants walk whimsically through their venues, a woman’s voice can be heard saying, “Oh my gosh. Remind me why I’m doing this.”
The first voice is then followed by another woman who says, “What would complete me is finding my person” before another says, “This is what I’ve been waiting for my whole life.”
The video then cuts to a bunch of weddings that are set to take place in next year’s season, with one groom beaming at first sight, another bride talking excitedly about how her groom looked at her and another beautiful bride yelling “yes” as she walked down the aisle.
In one piece to camera, an unnamed groom says “Yes that is what I want” after a bride jokingly tells her MAFS groom that she doesn’t bite, unless he asks. Cheeky, cheeky.
However, it’s not long before a snippet of someone crying comes on, because everyone knows a MAFS marriage is not a walk in the park.
Following the beautiful marriage ceremonies, the trailer then cuts to a woman who is tearing up, stating she’s on the show to find that Cam Merchant and Jules Robinson kind of love.
Following that plea for “Cam and Jules kind of love”, the trailer cuts to another bride, who says “My role is to serve my husband”.
“I want to serve them in like every possible way,” she said.
The video then builds up to a dramatic climax, where a groom accidentally drops a bride while dipping her during a dance. The trailer then cuts to black with a bloke yelling: “He just ruined everything”.
After that dramatic moment, the video then cuts to the woman who is hysterically crying, but honestly, I think it’s cheek fake cry for that reality TV je ne sais quoi.
However, the real kicker is that we get to see a glimpse of one of the biggest plot twists in MAFS history.
You see, prior to the teaser, there was a rumour swirling that two exes had been paired in the 2025 season.
Well, thanks to this trailer, it appears that the rumour is 100 per cent legit!
In one of the snippets from the sneak peek, a bride can be seen talking to a producer, revealing that she “knows” her MAFS groom.
“I know him, can you believe that?” the bride whispers to the producer who then asked, “How did it end with you and him?”
“He just stopped texting. I was in shock because he ghosted me,” the bride shared.
Facebook groups? Deceased. Reddit? Shooketh to the core. Me? Stressed.
While we don’t have an official cast list from Channel Nine, the big dawgs have given us a premiere date of Monday, January 27, 2025.
Honestly, this trailer has made me quite excited for the second coming of Christ (AKA MAFS expert John Aiken). And I’m truly loving the body diversity in this cast, especially amongst the brides.
I hate to admit it, but I will be sat down for this round of cooked reality TV.
