Married At First Sight expert Mel Schilling made an accidental dig about men in the entertainment industry on Monday's instalment of This Morning - leaving host Dermot O'Leary looking insulted.
Mel, 51, appeared on This Morning a straight-talking agony aunt phone-in session as she helped several viewers with their romance woes and dating disasters.
One caller in particular asked Mel for help with a certain type of man she has her eye on - someone who works in the entertainment or media industry.
After hearing the caller's dating woes, Married At First Sight expert Mel joked: "Good luck finding a straight man in entertainment."
Right away after making the quip, Mel realised the error of her ways as she looked at Dermot's face from across the table while co-presenter Alison Hammond did her very best to contain her laughter.
As Mel continued to talk to the caller, offering up the best of her advice, Dermot looked wounded as he jokingly held his heart as if to say Mel's comment cut him deep.
Following the awkward accidental blunder from Mel, This Morning viewers took to Twitter to share their reactions.
"OMG how awkward from the MAFS woman. To say something like that on live TV," one viewer complained.
"Uh-Ohhhh that hurt Dermot hahah. Pretty brave thing to say," another echoed.
While a third shared: "Mel from MAFS has just realised what she's said and Alison isn't helping."
Elsewhere in the interview, Mel spoke about the upcoming series of Married At First Sight UK as she confessed that it's set to be the most explosive series yet as filming continues.
The tenth season of MAFS Australia is sadly coming to an end in just a matter of weeks as the final episodes will air on E4 over the next couple of days, with the reunion set to air shortly afterwards.
During her appearance on This Morning, Mel admitted that she worked with some of the most controversial couples in her dating expert career - especially when it came to Harrison and Bronte.
