In one of the rockiest marriages on Married At First Sight Australia, Duncan and Alyssa have hit many hurdles. Now fans are not impressed after Alyssa showed no empathy to Duncan when he admitted that one of their arguments caused him to cry.
During the commitment ceremony, Duncan admitted that one of his and Alyssa's arguments caused him to cry, something which he did not admit to her at the time. It was only after hearing Duncan speak about this with relationship experts Mel Schilling, John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla, that Alyssa became upset.
Instead of comforting Duncan, Alyssa appeared annoyed and upset that he had not told her he had cried. Fans were not impressed that Alyssa was thinking about herself and not supporting her groom.
One said: “How is that encouraging me to express my emotions?” Yes Duncan, absolutely she wants you to tell her but gets upset when you tell her, Alyssa is impossible" And: "Alyssa if you love Duncan your heart expands to make room for him and you want to make room for him in your life. You don't. It's quite simple. Let him go!#MAFSAU".
A third said: "Alyssa always twists it around to make it about herself. Duncan deserves so much better #MAFSAU #MAFS #MarriedatfirstsightAustralia #MarriedAtFirstSight". Another added: "Honestly, hats off to Duncan - he must REAAAALLY like Alyssa to keep putting his own feelings aside and treading on eggshells JUST to try and make this relationship ‘work’ (even though we all know it won’t)."
And: "I understand that Duncan will not be her FIRST priority, but she’s not making him ANY kind of priority She very obviously doesn’t care about him at all! #MAFSAU". You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
