Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Alvin Kamara remain DNP on Saints’ Friday injury report

The New Orleans Saints fielded their second practice of the week on Friday as they continue to work towards their Week 16 game on Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers. The participation status for all players, both on the Saints and Packers remained the same from Thursday to Friday.

The one most notable thing about the report is that after missing Thursday’s practice, Marquez Valdes-Scantling (chest/illness) remained on the report with the updated status of having an illness. He was supposed to be able to return Friday, however, with the illness added on, he will miss a second practice during the week. Derek Carr (left hand), Alvin Kamara (groin), Bub Means (ankle), and Chase Young (illness) also all remained as non-participants, which was primarily expected, though hopefully at minimum Young will return from his illness for Saturday and get some reps in.

Juwan Johnson (foot) and Chris Olave (head) both remained limited for Friday as well, with Olave inside his 21-day practice window after being designated to return from IR.

As for the Packers, Javon Bullard (ankle) and Quay Walker (ankle) both were non-participants, as they were on Thursday as well. Corey Ballentine (knee) and Luke Musgrave (ankle) both remained limited, and Jaire Alexander (knee) was able to fully practice again. Musgrave is in the same situation as Olave in regards to the 21-day practice window, as both players look to clear IR and potentially play.

Here is the full injury report from Friday’s practice for both teams:
