Marks & Spencer launches new £14 Bramble Hill sparkling rosé 'perfect' for spring picnics

Marks & Spencer has introduced a new sparkling wine to help shoppers celebrate their long weekends in style for £14 a bottle.

With a total of three bank holiday coming up next month, it's the ideal time to stock up for any parties or celebrations you've got planned in the coming weeks. And M&S has launched Bramble Hill Sparkling Rosé, made in Kent in the same way as Prosecco and packed with "beautifully fresh" red summer fruit flavours.

The bubbly is "the best-priced bottle of English sparkling wine on the high street", according to M&S, and has been brought out just in time for St George's Day this weekend to enjoy out in the spring sunshine. The popular high street retailer describes the fizz as "perfect as an aperitif or enjoyed alfresco with picnic staples like sausages rolls and salads".

Dror Nativ, senior buyer for English wine at M&S, said: "English wine continues to be hugely popular at the moment, so it's no surprise that we’ve seen sales rocket by nearly 40 per cent in the past 12 month as more shoppers than ever choose to drink local. From the best-priced English fizz on the high street to our new top-of-the-range Collection English sparkling wine by Hattingley, we now offer more than 15 different wines from vineyards in Kent, Surrey, Hampshire and East Sussex."

The sparkling rosé isn't yet on sale online, but Bramble Hill's popular Sparkling Wine is currently available on the M&S website priced at £90 for a case of six to cater for your bank holiday party, working out at £15 a bottle. Or you can order a single bottle of the bubbly in your online M&S shop via Ocado - they are currently on offer for £14 until May 2, reduced from £16, meaning that buying the individual bottles would work out cheaper.

The bubbly isn't the only tipple M&S has introduced just in time for the upcoming bank holidays. The retailer is also offering a limited-edition Coronation Ale specially brewed by Elgood's Brewery to celebrate the coronation of King Charles, available as a case of 12 for £36 - working out at £3 per bottle.

Meanwhile, there are plenty more offers on fizz for under £16 at the other major supermarkets for those who love their sparkling rosé. Waitrose offers Mirabeau La Folie Rosé for £15.99, while over at Morrisons shoppers can get Fleurs De Prairie Sparkling Rosé for £9 and Tesco customers can also get I Heart Prosecco Rose for £9.
