Indian equity benchmarks ended higher in the final trading session of the week, although gains remained capped as volatile crude prices and elevated bond yields continued to weigh on the market.
The Nifty 50 settled at 23,140.50, gaining 77.40 points, or 0.34%. The Sensex advanced 315.20 points, or 0.43%, to close at 73,895.74.
