Market Place: huge food hall to open inside Victoria station

This autumn, Victoria Station will become home to the UK's first-ever food hall inside a railway station, bringing a street food traders, cocktails, craft beer and live sport to one of London's busiest transport hubs.

Opening inside the station itself, Market Place Food Hall will be packed with 10 food and drink operators serving flavours from across the globe, giving commuters, office workers and visitors a reason to stick around long after they've tapped out of the barriers.

The first food traders already announced include Duck Shed, Thai House, Jollof Mama, Saba, and Made in Puglia, bringing everything from crispy duck-loaded dishes and authentic Thai street food to rich West African flavours and fresh Middle Eastern favourites. Expect big flavours, grab-and-go classics and dishes worth making a special trip for, with plenty more traders still to be revealed before the doors open this autumn.

Visitors can expect a lively cocktail bar, craft beers on tap and screens showing major sporting events throughout the year, creating a new spot for everything from quick lunches and after-work drinks to football watch parties and weekend meet-ups.

With room for over 200 guests, the venue will bring a completely new food and drink experience to Victoria Station, transforming a space better known for rushed coffees and grab-and-go lunches into a vibrant hub for global food, cocktails and live sport.

Blake Henderson, Managing Director of Market Place Food Hall, said: "Victoria is one of the busiest stations in the country, but it's never had a food and drink destination quite like this.

“We're bringing together incredible food, great drinks and live sports entertainment in a way that's never been done before in a UK railway station. The first traders already showcase some fantastic flavours from around the world, and we've got plenty more exciting names still to announce."

Market Place Food Hall Victoria joins the group's growing portfolio of food halls across London, including Leicester Square, St Paul's, Vauxhall, Harrow and Peckham.

The venue is scheduled to open in Autumn 2026, with additional trader announcements and launch events set to be revealed ahead of opening.

It comes after a Market Place opened in Leicester Square last year, bringing sixteen food concepts to one of London’s culinary dead zones.

Market Place took over a five-storey building beside the Odeon cinema, promising to be “one of the largest and most ambitious food hall experiences the UK has ever seen”.

Restaurants were spread across five floors, while drinks will be served on the ground floor and on the balcony overlooking Leicester Square.
