While Meta's (META) -) Mark Zuckerberg has had plenty of haters over the years, he can add a new name to his fan checklist: Dan Ives.
The prominent Wedbush analyst spoke in an interview with Yahoo Finance published on the morning of June 21, and his words for Zuck in regards to his launch of Threads were nothing but glowing.

This is quite the turnaround for Zuckerberg, who has been heavily criticized over the years -- from his comments about Facebook users to the monetization of Instagram and Facebook with the Verified program (which many believe was simply stolen from Elon Musk's Twitter model).

What's more likely is that Zuckerberg did the right thing at the right time, as Elon Musk has gained his fair share of haters for the changes he's made to Twitter since his purchase of the social media platform in 2022.
Despite Ives' praise, the other folks in the thread were far from convinced.

Another one really hit the nail on the head, calling Zuckerberg the "anti-Musk," which is really a perfect summary of what Threads is all about (so far, anyway).
Of course the media sees Zuck as the hero in the story since he’s the anti Musk.

After gaining 100 million signups in its first five days, it seemed as if Zuckerberg had engineered a hit. But within a few weeks the frenzy had slowed, from 49 million users on July 7 to 23.6 million users a week later, per web traffic analysis company Similarweb.
Well, at least Zuck can add one more person to his fan club.
