Mark Zuckerberg-Elon Musk Cage Fight Could Be Held at Iconic Historic Venue

A strange proposed sporting event involving two of the world’s wealthiest and most famous men could soon have an even stranger venue.

UFC president Dana White has discussed staging a fight between Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and X owner Elon Musk at the Colosseum in Rome, he told boxing great Mike Tyson in an appearance on his podcast Wednesday.

White said he had spoken with associates of Gennaro Sangiuliano, who has served as Italy’s minister of culture since October 2022.

“It’s real. It’s real,” White said on Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson. “They do wanna fight, it’s real. … It’s funny, because we were talking about the Colosseum for that fight. And I actually did have a meeting with the Minister of Culture’s team in Italy to actually hold that fight in the Colosseum if it would happen.”

The Colosseum, regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of the World, was completed in the year 80 under the Roman emperor Titus. It has served many purposes in its history, including for combat sporting events—many deadly in nature—in antiquity.

Zuckerberg has taken to Brazilian jiu-jitsu in recent months, and Musk has trained with UFC great Georges St-Pierre. However, nothing about a potential fight between the two social media magnates has been set in stone yet.
