Oscar-nominated producer/songwriter Mark Ronson recently released a For Your Consideration (FYC) video on his Instagram account, not to campaign for his own Academy Award nomination, but to advocate for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction of Foreigner. The band's founding lineup includes Ronson's stepfather, Mick Jones, a key figure in the group. The video features prominent musicians such as Dave Grohl, Jack Black, Slash, Chad Smith, and Josh Homme, all expressing their support for Foreigner's inclusion in the Rock Hall.
Homme humorously states, 'You want to know what love is? Love is putting Foreigner in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,' while Smith expresses disbelief that the band has not been nominated earlier. Grohl shares his admiration for Foreigner's music, highlighting the influence it had on his own work. Black passionately sings a snippet of 'I Want to Know What Love Is' and urges the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to induct Foreigner.
