In celebration of the King's Coronation at the weekend, stars including Take That were part of the star-studded lineup at Windsor Castle.
But many fans of the iconic pop band were shocked at how much singer and songwriter Mark Owen's appearance has changed when he took to the stage at the Coronation concert last night.
After the band famously split in 1996, everything about Mark Owen - who at that point sported floppy curtains, a cute smile and a dolphin tattoo - screamed heartthrob, reports the Mirror.
However, following the split, his life took a bumpy ride, as he was left reeling over the loss of his bandmates by his side, Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Robbie Williams.
He decided to embark on a solo career, in a bid to prove he was more than just a 'pretty face' and vowed to grow out his beard and not wash for nine months whilst working on his music.
However, after his solo album Green Man reached only 33 on the charts, the star decided to set up a home in the Lake District.
Aged just 24, he reportedly paid £300,000 for the isolated pad in Kirkby Lonsdale.
It was around this time that the now 51-year-old's problems began.
The former Take That star turned to alcohol to help him get by, finishing bottles of wine himself whilst at the property.
"When I was up in the Lakes, living there for all those years on my own, I used to just drink every night," he told The Sun.
In 2002, he came second on Celebrity Big Brother and was invited to perform with former bandmate and old pal Robbie at Knebworth, launching him back into the spotlight.
Two years late he began dating actress Emma Ferguson, then in 2005, Take That - minus Robbie - reunited for explosive documentary, Take That: For The Record.
The documentary renewed interest in the band - who were now a foursome - and they released a comeback album, Beautiful World, which featured hits such as Patience and Shine.
Things remained positive for Mark, who welcomed two children with Emma - a son named Elwood and a daughter named Willow.
The pair married in 2009 at a ceremony at Cawdor Church in the Highlands.
On the face of it, everything seemed to be perfect. That was until Mark gave a shocking interview in 2010 where he confessed to cheating on Emma with at least 10 other women.
At the time, he revealed his most lasting affair was with accounts manager Neva Hanley, then 24, who he met around the same time as he first met Emma.
He admitted the affair had been going on for around four and a half years - he also shockingly admitted to sleeping with Neva just one week after the birth of his daughter - and the pair spent their last night together just one month before his wedding.
A devastated Emma threw him out and removed her wedding ring, while Mark entered rehab to get help for alcohol abuse.
In 2012, Emma controversially took the singer back. Since, he has continued to record and tour with Take That and late last year released his fifth solo album, Land Of Dreams, which reached number three in the UK Album Download and Sales Chart.
The couple also left behind their life in London to start a new life in California, where he regularly meets with his former bandmate Robbie.
The former pinup has also undergone something of a style transformation, and shocked fans with his changed appearance last September.
Even BBC Breakfast co-host Sally Nugent seemed taken aback when he debuted his makeover while promoting his album.
"Actually, you look different. The moustache; how long's that been there?" she quizzed.
Explaining he'd been rocking it on and off for four years, he said: "It started off as a beard and then my beard goes a bit patchy on [one] side.
"[The beard] can get a bit sweaty on tour. So then it became a moustache and it sort of stuck."
And now, following his performance at the King's Coronation, fans have taken to social media to comment on the star's transformation.
One wrote: "Mark Owen looking his actual age is way better than Lionel Richie looking like, as my husband commented, “his cheeks are higher than his eyes” . Let’s just all accept the aging process and chill our beans"
And another added: "Mark Owen has always been the coolest and most interesting one in Take That, love to see him just being himself at #CoronationConcert and hope he ignores the haters"
