Frustrated Mark McGhee played down an incident with a Dundee fan after a drubbing from Livingston.
David Martindale 's men ran riot at Dens Park thanks to a double from Bruce Anderson along with strikers from Scott Pittman and Jack Fitzwater.
It plungers Dundee deeper into relegation trouble as they remain rooted to the bottom of the Premiership.
Following the full-time whistle, a fan was spotted confronting McGhee with a phone in hand as he continues to serve his six-game touchline ban.
The incident was addressed on live radio while fans on social media also claimed to spot the flashpoint moment.
But when asked about it, McGhee bluntly told BBC Sportsound: "There is nothing to say about that."
The players were booed off after the shambolic showing, with some fans leaving the game early.
McGhee said of the supporters' reaction after the clash: "I think they've got every right to feel the way they felt today, and give the team stick. That's what happens when you're a footballer, you get stick.
"We have to show them that we are better than that and can have some level of success, and keep ourselves from going down, and rebuild in the summer."
McGhee confessed he was taken aback by the defending from his side as they face a major fight for Premiership survival.
He added: "It was diabolical really. Individuals getting turned, well worked goals from their view, but diabolical goals from a defensive point of view.
"We were brought here because there was something broken.
"It wasn't going to be fixed in a week today we've saw why we're bottom of the league.
"It's our job now, as it was when we came in, to take what we've got and put it into a way of playing with the personnel that will deliver results that will make sure we don't go down automatically.
"It's a bit at a time. First and foremost we need to find a way of winning a football match.
"I couldn't believe what I was seeing."
