Mark Lawrenson makes West Ham prediction with David Moyes claim ahead of Leicester City clash

Mark Lawrenson thinks David Moyes will name a strong West Ham side to face Leicester City on the final day of the season.

The Hammers head to the King Power Stadium to face relegation-threatened Leicester, with West Ham already safe and sitting 14th in the table. But Moyes' side could climb as high as 12th with a victory, depending on other results.

And although the game has a greater significance to Leicester, who go into the game in 18th place and two points behind Everton as they battle to try and stay in the Premier League, Lawrenson reckons West Ham's players will have a point to prove ahead of the Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina in Prague next month.

Indeed, the former Liverpool defender is predicting a 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium as he offered his verdict on West Ham and how he thinks Moyes will approach the fixture.

In his weekly predictions feature for Paddy Power, Lawrenson said: "West Ham could actually go to 43 points with a win which, after all the ‘David Moyes out’ and European final, isn’t too bad.

"The pressure is on Leicester to win, nothing else will do. West Ham have a couple of weeks until the Europa Conference League final so I think Moyes will go strong and he’ll say to them, ‘You’re playing for your place in the final’. I think this might be a draw."
