Mark English captured a bronze medal in the 800m European final in Munich.
The Letterkenny man ran beautifully in front of a packed crowd in the Olympic Stadium as he crossed the line in third.
English stormed out of the blocks and was in the leading pack at the half way point.

And the 29-year-old was never in any real danger as he comfortably hung on to third place for the majority of the final 400 metres and crossed the line in 1:45.19.
The medal win is his first at the European Championships since his bronze medal win back in 2014.
Spain's Mariano Garcia crossed the line first for the gold medal followed by Great Britain's Ben Pattison in second.
Sarah Lavin finished in fifth place in her 100m hurdles final.
Coming out of lane one, Lavin burst out of the blocks fast and was competitive throughout the race.
The 28-year-old had previously smashed her personal best earlier in the day with a time of 12.79 and the Limerick hurdler crossed the line in 12.86 in the final.
Poland's Pia Krzyszowska crossed the line first for gold with Hungary's Luca Hozak in second and Ditaji Kambundji in third.
Clonliffe Harriers man Efrem Gidey finished sixth in his 10,000m final and clocked in at a time of 27:59.22 while Hiko Haso finished 18th with a time of 28:38.82..
