Donald Trump only worships one thing: Donald Trump. Sure, he might claim to be Christian, but he doesn’t regularly attend church, clearly knows very little about the Bible, and obviously isn’t familiar with Christian philosophy and thinking. Plus, y’know, there’s the awkward fact that every day he violates each of the deadly sins.
But for Trump’s MAGA Christian supporters, him play-acting Christianity appears to be good enough for them. Some choose to believe God is acting through him in a very mysterious way, but the more pragmatic are just happy that he promotes Christianity and don’t care that he isn’t personally religious.
