Marjorie Taylor Greene leaks texts with Donald Trump, accuses president of spreading lies about her because she doesn’t ‘worship’ him

The saying goes: every story has three sides — his, hers, and the truth. After President Donald Trump officially withdrew his support for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for the primaries due to her being an alleged “wacky far-left ranting lunatic,” the congresswoman has finally responded.

Trump’s pivot away from Greene was not unexpected. It had been building behind the scenes, but it seems the final straws were Trump being implicated in the Jeffrey Epstein controversy and Greene’s political ambitions being threatened.

Trump has made it no secret that he wants the news cycle to move past reporting about the latest developments in the Epstein saga. In his long-winded political divorce with Greene, he offered a laundry list of topics he would rather she discuss — from his “war-stopping efforts” to his “winning” of the government shutdown — Trump just wanted her to pick one. In fact, just recently, Trump was even coaching Republicans on how they could twist questions about Epstein to allege that former President Barack Obama was somehow treasonous. He has thrown everything but the kitchen sink at this.

But with the swearing in of Rep. Adelita Grijalva, the inevitability of the Epstein files being released seems more certain than ever. And according to Greene’s response, that is the real issue Trump has with her. In a post on X, the congresswoman alleged that she didn’t actually call Trump incessantly as he claimed, but she did text him — and she posted a screenshot of their correspondence.

The text was about Epstein. Oddly enough, their back-and-forth centered on how they could shift the Epstein mess to land mostly on former Democratic Party leaders such as the Clintons and former President Joe Biden for not releasing the files when he was in power. Which is actually very valid — if the top brass in the Democratic Party were involved in the Epstein saga, then all the more reason to release the files. But for some reason, Trump’s administration keeps calling it a hoax.

Greene reminded them that there are victims, and even she seemed confused about which part of the crimes against those victims was supposedly a hoax. Regardless, it seems Greene has finally put behind her the fight for Trump’s soul with Laura Loomer. Greene wrote, “I have supported President Trump with too much of my precious time, too much of my own money, and fought harder for him even when almost all other Republicans turned their back and denounced him. But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump.”

A stinging indictment of the sometimes cultish vow of never questioning Trump in a public setting among the MAGA crowd. But perhaps what made Greene’s statement so powerful is her adding that what she hoped for from Trump’s second term was the restoring of hope for America’s families and the end of wars she calls “endless.”

Instead, however, Trump’s second term has been about protecting the interests of the most powerful people. Even if it comes at the cost of regular everyday Americans. Even if it comes at the cost of people who were victimized by one of the most notorious convicted pedophiles in recent history.
