Mariah Carey has broken her decades-long rule of only allowing snaps to be taken of the right-hand side of her face.
The 54-year-old music legend took to Instagram to finally show her "bad side" in a snap of her taken from her left angle, where she's smiling and looking into the distance.
The Vision Of Love star, who looked glamorous as she posed for snaps at a New Year's Eve party in a sparkly, crystal-encrusted gold dress and wore her long honey-blonde hair in cascading curls, captioned the image: "New year, new beginnings..taking a picture from my 'bad side'!"
Carey, who shares 12-year-old fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-husband Nick Cannon, also took to her Instagram's Stories prior to the New Year countdown to show herself at a private bar as her bartender prepared a cocktail.
"Happy New Year. 2024 is gonna be great," she said in the video.
Her celebrations came soon after her ex Bryan Tanaka confirmed that the couple have split after seven years together.
In a statement shared with The Associated Press and published to Tanaka's Instagram just six days ago, Carey's backup dancer-turned-creative director and partner detailed their breakup.
"With mixed emotions, I share this personal update regarding my amicable separation from Mariah Carey after seven extraordinary years together," he wrote.
"Our decision to embark on different paths is mutual, and as we navigate these separate journeys, we do so with profound respect and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the invaluable time we've shared.
"The memories we've created and the artistic collaborations are etched in my heart forever."
Tanaka and Carey first met when Tanaka joined her 2006 The Adventures of Mimi tour as a backup dancer.
The All I Want for Christmas is You singer first confirmed their relationship in 2017.
