Margot Robbie has admitted that her “stress levels were terrifying” on set of Damien Chazelle’s Babylon for fear she’d “mess it up”.

The Australian actor discusses her experience on the epic Hollywood drama on tonight’s The Graham Norton Show (January 13).

The Oscar-nominated star shared: “It was a wild ride. There were amazing set pieces, including a party scene that took two weeks to shoot.

“Every part of it was insane and the stress levels were terrifying because there was so much going on and I didn’t want to be the one to mess it up.”

And that wasn’t the only titbit Robbie shared about her cinematic endeavours as she teased her upcoming Barbie film, directed by Greta Gerwig.

When asked what viewers can expect from the comedy, which also stars Ryan Gosling as Ken, the I, Tonya star, 32, said: “You don’t know what to expect. It is great and very funny.”

Robbie appears on the BBC chat show alongside Cate Blanchett, Beverley Knight, Alan Carr, and RAYE (PA)

Robbie appears on the BBC chat show alongside two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett, performer Beverley Knight, comic Alan Carr, and singer-songwriter RAYE.

Elsewhere in the show, fellow Aussie actor Blanchett spoke about her critically acclaimed performance in Tár, which charts the downfall of a conductor following claims of abuse.

She shared: “It is a great story about cancel culture, but it was to work with Todd Field. It’s been 16 years since he made a movie, and he is a master director and makes extraordinary films.

“And, to stand in front of an orchestra and conduct them – it’s not often you get to do that stuff.”

However, the 53-year-old admitted conducting an orchestra was an “absolutely terrifying” experience but was ultimately “life-changing”.

“It was absolutely terrifying and not something I thought I would ever be asked to do,” she added. “It was life-changing and an unforgettable experience.”
