Margot Robbie’s film company is set to produce a movie based on the popular board game Monopoly. The announcement comes after the success of Robbie's starring role in the 2023 film Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig, which grossed $1.38 billion and became a global sensation.
The Monopoly film project, which has been in development for over a decade, will be a collaboration between Robbie's production company LuckyChap and Hasbro Entertainment, a division of the toy company that owns the game.
