Margot Robbie gives perfect four-word response to fans mistaking her for another actress

Margot Robbie gave the perfect four-word response to fans who had mistaken her for Emma Mackay, the lead of the hit series Sex Education on Netflix.

After years of being compared to one another for their striking similarity, the dynamic duo is finally hitting the big screen side-by-side in Greta Gerwig's Barbie coming to the big screen this month. With their big blue eyes, gleaming gnashers, and blonde locks, it's no wonder the pair are constantly called "real-life twins".

The Wolf of Wall Street actress shares that people frequently compare her to Mackay, congratulating her for the excellent job she did in her performance on Netflix show Sex Education.

In a Buzzfeed interview, the witty actress shared her typical response to when fans compare her to the British actress, saying: “When people come up and say, ‘I loved you in Sex Education,’ I just say, ‘Thank you so much.'"

Actress Mackay has most recently starred as the lead of family drama Emily in 2022, and has been receiving comments that she looks identical to the Suicide Squad star since she first made her Hollywood debut in 2019.

Following the comments about their strikingly similar appearances, the two gorgeous stars were both casted as one of the 11 Barbie dolls in Gerwig's newest movie.

The director actually came out and said that she originally dedicated a whole segment of the Barbie film to doppelgängers, and was going to showcase the two together as a 'skit'.

But disappointingly, the director and actresses found that after they had done their full hair and make-up, the two didn't look as similar as they would've liked - with their brown and blonde hair being one of the most obvious differences.

In the Buzzfeed Celeb interview, Margot talked about the possible doppelgänger scene, saying: “We were gonna do this whole joke about us looking similar. But once we got all dressed up as our Barbies, we were kind of like…we don’t look that similar."

But despite the bit not playing panning out, the stunning duo will still both be featured as iconic Barbie dolls in the Warner Bros. film hitting the big screen July 21.
