Margot Robbie graced the red carpet at Barbie's world premiere over the weekend wearing yet another outfit that had seemingly been inspired by the iconic doll's fashion.
The actor, 33, has been paying homage to the fashion doll - which was launched by Mattel back in 1959 - with her looks whilst promoting the upcoming film ahead of its release.
The world premiere in Los Angeles on Sunday appeared to be no different, with Margot's dazzling gown understood to have been referencing an outfit worn by a vintage Barbie.
She seemingly took inspiration from the 'solo in the spotlight' Barbie, which first launched in the 1960s, for the event that was held at Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall.
Margot recreated the look at the event with a glamorous strapless gown by Schiaparelli. The dress is said to have included layers of tulle, an embroidered rose and sequins.
The actor - who is among the producers on the upcoming film - accessorised the look with a pair of black stilettos and jewellery, which further referenced the fashion doll.
She was joined at the premiere by the likes of co-star Ryan Gosling, who plays Ken in the film. He opted to wear a pastel pink suit, as well as a white shirt, for the premiere.
Margot has modelled a variety of looks inspired by outfits worn by Barbie whilst promoting the new film, as showcased on social media by stylist Andrew Mukamal.
Other examples include a co-ordinated pink ensemble that she wore for a press conference in Seoul, South Korea, last week where she discussed the upcoming release.
That outfit, as shared by the stylist in a recent post, paid homage to the 'sparkling pink' Barbie that is said to have been released in around 1964 by the brand Mattel.
And whilst promoting the film in Mexico City, Mexico, a few days later, Margot was spotted wearing a colourful dress that was once again seemingly a throwback to the past.
The outfit is understood to have been inspired by the one worn by the 'totally hair' Barbie, as suggested by Andrew. The doll is said to have been released in the early 1990s.
Barbie - which has been co-written and directed by Greta Gerwig - is scheduled to be released on July 21.
