Marcus Rashford has praised former Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero after he saved a penalty in only his second appearance for Boca Juniors.
Romero made 61 appearances for the Reds between 2015 and 2021 as a second-choice goalkeeper. Eventually he would leave Old Trafford before being snapped up by Italian side Venezia.
The 35-year-old's time in Italy would be short-lived as he left the club at the end of the season to move back to his home country. Romero signed a contract until 2024 with Boca last August.

A knee injury prevented the ex-Monaco and Sampdoria man from making his debut with the shot-stopper having to wait until the new campaign started on January 30 to make his first appearance. Romero has since hit the ground running at his new club.
After keeping a clean sheet against Atletico Tucuman, Romero would then have a starring role in the goalless draw with Central Cordoba at the weekend. The former United man saved a spot-kick as Boca Juniors continued their unbeaten start to the campaign.
Taking to Instagram after the match, Boca shared a video of Romero denying the opposition from 12 yards. One of the first to congratulate Romero was his old teammate Rashford who commented: "Chiquiiiiiii," with a love heart emoji.
Chiquito is Spanish for tiny and is the veteran goalkeeper's nickname. Romero will be hoping to continue his good form on Sunday when Boca travel to Talleres Cordoba.
