Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw return as Manchester United fans choose line-up vs Brighton

Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw made their returns off the bench in Thursday's 3-0 defeat by Sevilla and Manchester United fans have backed the pair to start at Wembley this afternoon.

United face Brighton in the second FA Cup semi-final hoping to book a derby-day final, following Manchester City's a 3-0 win over Sheffield United on Saturday. The Reds will also be hoping to bounce back from a dismal Thursday evening in which they were eliminated from the Europa League in southern Spain.

Mistakes from Harry Maguire and David de Gea handed Sevilla the victory in a miserable game for the visitors, with the returns of Rashford and Shaw the only positive to take back to England. With sights now set on a second final of the season, United fans have backed the pair to regain their place in Erik ten Hag's starting line-up at Wembley as one of four changes.

Maguire's suspension for the clash has only worsened the defensive crisis at United, with the England international joining Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane in watching from the sidelines. And Reds supporters who selected their preferred team on the MEN have opted to draft Shaw back into a central role in their absence.

The 27-year-old has played at centre-back a handful of times this season, including in the 2-1 win over City in January, and has been backed to partner Victor Lindelof in the middle, with De Gea between the posts. Tyrell Malacia has also been picked to return after a brief spell out with a sore knee, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka preferred over Diogo Dalot to deal with the dangerous Kaoru Mitoma.

Bruno Fernandes missed Thursday's defeat through suspension but he will almost certainly lead his side out as captain today. Ten Hag has made no secret of his wish to have the Portuguese midfielder play every minute between now and June, and fans have predictably brought him straight back in to alongside Casemiro and Christian Eriksen - the trio have not lost this season when starting together.

Anthony Martial hobbled off in Seville on Thursday but the French striker was with the squad in London on Saturday and is expected to be fit to feature. Reds fans have opted to keep him leading the line, with Antony retaining his place on the right while Rashford comes back in on the left.

The 25-year-old is by far and away United's top goalscorer this season, with his 28 goals almost three times more than anyone else in red - Fernandes is the only other player on double figures with 10.
