Leeds United fans have followed Carlos Corberan's journey with interest since he left Leeds United's coaching staff to become head coach of Huddersfield Town. The Spaniard had been at Leeds for a season as U23 head coach, before the Whites appointed Marcelo Bielsa as manager in the summer of 2018.
Corberan was subsequently given first-team coaching duties alongside his U23 role and has was part of the coaching team which helped Leeds to promotion from the Championship in 2019/20. He departed for Huddersfield soon after.
In an interview ahead of Huddersfield's Championship play-off final against Nottingham Forest this weekend, Corberan revealed that he has been in contact with Leeds' ex-manager and that the legendary coach had been 'watching' the play-off games.
