Leeds United have signed Marc Roca from Bayern Munich for £10m with terms agreed on a four-year contract at Elland Road. The midfielder becomes the third addition the Whites have made by mid-June and takes spending to around £45m following the earlier arrivals of Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen.
The Spaniard has featured for his country’s under-21 side in the past, but is yet to make the grade with their senior side as yet. His two years with the German giants has proven difficult with pitch time restricted.
Roca first caught the eye in his homeland with Espanyol, where he impressed in La Liga across four seasons between 2016 and 2020. The 25-year-old is recognised as a central midfielder who plays in a similar role to Kalvin Phillips.

It is understood Roca has not been purchased as a direct replacement for Phillips. If the England international were to move on from Elland Road in this window, the club is expected to reinvest his transfer fee in the squad.
