Marc Roca on Leeds United's Chelsea preparations and Elland Road influence

Marc Roca is looking forward to testing himself against Chelsea this weekend. The former Bayern Munich midfielder has made an assured start to life at Elland Road with Leeds United currently unbeaten in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old made 15 appearances in a two-year period with the Bundesliga champions but called time on his carer in Germany - signing a four-year deal with the Whites. Roca has been impressed by the Leeds United faithful and believes they could play a big part this weekend.

Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Roca said: "Well to be honest, I'm very comfortable on the pitch and I think that we started with two good games. We were a little bit disappointed to lose two points after Southampton because we started the match very well.

"I think we have another good opportunity this weekend against Chelsea. It's a hard game but we play in front of our fans and we'll push and give everything because we want to win.

"Yeah, physically I think I have to keep on playing, keep on pushing, keep on working, because the intensity in the league is high but every day I'm feeling better and more ready. I think it's going to be a good season for us.

"I think it will be a hard game, a difficult game for us, but a difficult game for them. We play at home, we have quality and we've shown it already. We have to give 100%, we have to have a winning mentality and fight for every ball.

"We're playing at home, at Elland Road, with our fans and crowd. Why not? We want the three points. Chelsea is an incredible team and with the ball they know exactly what they want to do in every match.

"The team is managed very well and trained. They play with a lot of quality and have an intensity in defence, but what I said, we have to focus on us. We have to b ready for every duel, for every moment on the pitch."
