Marc Cucurella’s agent has dismissed talk of Chelsea offering the defender to Atletico Madrid.
It has already been a busy summer of outgoings at Stamford Bridge, with Kai Havertz completing a £65m move to Arsenal and both Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy joining clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Mason Mount is set to follow his former team-mates out the exit door, as his transfer to Manchester United nears completion, while Christian Pulisic and Romelu Lukaku could be among those who are also sold by Chelsea this summer.
Cucurella’s future at the club is not certain, after an unconvincing first season at Chelsea following his big-money move from Brighton.

Ben Chilwell will be confident of being first-choice at left-back under Mauricio Pochettino, while teenager Lewis Hall impressed when given chances last season and Ian Maatsen is, for now at least, a Chelsea player again after a successful loan spell at Burnley.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, Chelsea are trying to find a buyer for Cucurella just 12 months on from his £62m arrival. It’s claimed the Blues have offered him to Atletico, hoping they can be persuaded to take the 24-year-old back to Spain.
However, Cucurella’s agent Alvaro Dominguez has hit back at that report, posting a screenshot of the article on social media and adding “fake news” as his verdict.
