Marathon through-the-night Lords sitting on Illegal Migration Bill ‘disgraceful’

A late-night sitting of the Lords to scrutinise the controversial Illegal Migration Bill has been been branded “disgraceful” at Westminster.

Critics argued it was “disappointing” such important matters, including the care of unaccompanied migrant children and detention of pregnant women, were being dealt with in such a way.
