Many Brits have admitted to being unhappy and frustrated with their current TV deal as the cost-of-living crisis continues to bite. A new survey has shown that almost a third of us are 'stuck' on expensive, long-term deals.
The research from TalkTalk indicates more and more viewers are now looking for flexible month-to-month packages instead. Currently, more than half of Brits (55%) have a TV bundle and nearly a third (28%) are unhappy with the cost and value for money they’re getting from their existing provider.
For many Brits flexible home entertainment is key, with every new week comes another show to obsess over, so the ability to switch, change and press pause on TV packages and subscriptions is more important than ever.
Top 5 TV package frustrations
- The packages are too expensive
- I don’t want to be tied into lengthy TV contracts
- Not knowing where I can find the best deal
- Lots of add on features included that I don’t need
- Lack of apps and entertainment
When it comes time to switching packages, 35% suggested they would want to switch to a package that offered month-by-month TV, meaning they only have to pay for what they watch. And over a third say they are likely to switch to a provider who offers a cheaper TV deal if they could.
