A viral photo of Victor Wembanyama is making rounds on social media after he posed alongside some Spurs legends during a recent dinner.
In the photo are Wembanyama, Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Manu Ginóbili and Sean Elliott, and it’s immediately noticeable just how much taller San Antonio’s No. 1 pick is than the rest of the group.
Ginóbili offered a hilarious reaction to the photo on Twitter, suggesting that if this was the Spurs’ five-man lineup, he’d be playing the point guard position.
“I guess I'm the point guard in this squad...Great to meet you, @vicw_32! And always a pleasure to spend time with Sean, 50 and TD,” wrote Ginóbili on Twitter.

Great to meet you, @vicw_32! And always a pleasure to spend time with Sean, 50 and TD. https://t.co/hzwzyamiAN
Wembanyama is listed at a staggering 7’4”, and he towered over the rest of the bunch. Robinson, who stands in at 7’1”, looked dwarfed while standing next to the rookie sensation. Duncan and Elliott are both tall, too, measuring at 6’11” and 6’8”, respectively.
Ginóbili stands at 6’6”, far taller than the average human. He isn’t often the smallest person in a group, though that was certainly the case at the dinner.
Ginóbili, 44, spent 19 seasons with the Spurs during his NBA career and now works for the organization as a special advisor. Having won four championships with the franchise, he’ll hope to help set Wembanyama on his own path to success in San Antonio.
While much of his career was spent at the shooting guard position, it’s hard to argue that Ginóbili wouldn’t be forced into a point guard role if this team ever suited up together.
