Mansfield academy 'where everyone feels welcome' rated ‘good’ by Ofsted for first time

A Nottinghamshire school 'where everyone feels welcome' has been rated Good by Ofsted in all areas. The Queen Elizabeth's Academy, based in Mansfield, was inspected by the government department on Tuesday, April 18, and Wednesday, April 19.

The report praised the improvements the school has made since joining the Diverse Academies Trust, and stated that school leaders are "ambitious for what all pupils can achieve". The school was also noticed for its support for children with special needs and disabilities (SEND), who share the same opportunities as all other students.

This is the first inspection the school has received since joining the trust, and follows it's previous inspection in 2019 when Ofsted deemed that the school required improvements. The school currently has 775 pupils across the ranges of 11 to 18 years old.
