Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers have cancelled a show in Peterborough after frontman James Dean Bradfield contracted coronavirus.
The band, who formed in Blackwood in 1986, said in a statement: "It is with huge disappointment that Manic Street Preachers have been forced to postpone their forthcoming headline show at Peterborough Embankment this Sunday (June 12) due to lead singer James Dean Bradfield contracting Covid. The band were due to play the riverside venue for the first time as part of their summer shows this year and hope to reschedule for as soon as possible."
The statement said all ticket holders would be contacted in the next 48 hours by their point of sale. Anyone with queries should contact the vendor for their original purchase. You can get more music news and other story updates by subscribing to our newsletters here.
