A major search is being carried out for a callous killer who has absconded from prison for the second time. Lee Nevins brutally attacked and murdered a disabled man, Lee Jobling, 20, in his home in Gateshead in 2006. Cold hearted, Nevins was handed a life sentence for his evil and unprovoked crime, the Mirror reports.
Nevin's first escape from open prison was in 2008 when he was granted a one day release 16 years into his sentence and then did not show up to HMP Sudbury. He has now broken free from prison for a second time, leaving Lee Jobling's family members enraged.
The ongoing manhunt for Nevins has now ran into day four and police are appealing for any details regarding his whereabouts as they confirm he has connections to the North East. A spokeswoman for Derbyshire Constabulary said: "We are appealing for information after a convict has failed to return to HMP Sudbury.
