Law enforcement in Tennessee are continuing their search for a suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a sheriff's deputy last week. Over 100 law enforcement personnel have joined the manhunt for the suspect, who remains at large. The search has primarily been focused on the Wildwood area of Blount County, located about 16 miles south of Knoxville.
The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Kenneth Hart, is accused of shooting and killing Deputy Greg McCowan during a routine traffic stop. Another officer, Deputy Shelby Eggers, was injured in the incident but has since been released from the hospital. Hart is wanted on multiple charges, including first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and illegal possession of a firearm.
