Manhunt after two injured in ammonia and stab attack on Howdon street

Howdon Great North Air Ambulance Service

A manhunt is today on after suspected ammonia and a blade were used in a broad daylight street attack.

Two men were injured in the attack, which happened in the Howdon area of Wallsend on Thursday afternoon. One suffered a chest wound which police believe were caused by a blade.

The second was left with facial injuries. Officers are investigating whether these were caused by ammonia.
