The almost 150-page PDF which contained the first batch of documents relating to Lord Mandelson’s appointment as US ambassador was released with much fanfare on Wednesday.

It came months after the Labour peer was forced to step down from the role when the full extent of his relationship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein was revealed.
