The Mancunian accent has been voted as the sexiest in UK, according to a new survey.
People with the 'Manc' twang have this year been considered to be the most desirable, a survey by Best Casinos has now revealed.
According to the 2,500 people that were surveyed, they found that the likes of Liam Gallagher, Marcus Rashford, Ryan Thomas and Gemma Merna can now claim to have the sexiest accent.
Manchester beat its neighbour Liverpool, which came in third behind Ireland.
And those who spoke the Queen's English and Welsh accent came in behind - taking fourth and fifth spot, respectively, reports Liverpool Echo.
More than 50% of those who answered the survey said "The Manc" accent is the sexiest in the UK.
And the final two accents in the top five included London and Wales.
Italian, Irish, and French were found to be some of the most "sensual" accents globally, according to the survey.
However, the least favourite accents from the survey were identified as Welsh, German, Scottish, American and Australian.
A spokesperson from Best Casino's said: "When it comes to dating, 95% of respondents said it’s important that they like a potential partner’s voice.
"Women find it more important than men do, but just barely: 51% of people who identify as women say it’s extremely important, as opposed to 49% of people who identify as men."
Meanwhile, in 2021, the Scottish accent was voted sexiest in the UK.
According to a survey, which was conducted by international dating app Happn, 2,000 people said that they found the Scottish accent most attractive.
A total of 21 per cent of voters chose the Scottish accent, with Geordie in second with 17 per cent as the Welsh accent came in at third place.
And in 2019, the Essex accent was named as sexiest in the UK.
A poll by travel company Big 7 Travel then revealed that those with an Essex accent were far more favourable than those the Northern Irish, Glaswegians or those who speak with Queen’s English.
