A leading pharmacy has teamed up with a popular delivery service in a bid to offer Manchester residents rapid delivery of a range of pharmaceutical essentials - including painkillers and pregnancy tests.
LloydsPharmacy and Deliveroo have been working together since 2020. Now, following an initial trial, are rolling the scheme out further to cities including Manchester, Liverpool, Coventry, Bristol and Nottingham.
The scheme has rolled out to a further 110 LloydsPharmacy stores. This brings the total to 150 stores offering the service across the UK.

A range of LloydsPharmacy's best-selling products are available to purchase via Deliveroo's app. Some of the items ordered most-often by Deliveroo customers include:

Carlo Mocci, Chief Business Officer UK&I, Deliveroo, said: "LloydsPharmacy has provided a vital service throughout the pandemic and ordering from Deliveroo meant people who were self-isolating could have medication delivered to their doors in as little as 30 minutes.

Chief Retail Officer at LloydsPharmacy, Kevin Birch, said the partnership with Deliveroo will help improve patient care helping more people access supplies they need.
He added: "Pharmacies offer customers and patients healthcare advice, services, and prescriptions, but they also provide over the counter medicines for minor ailments and sickness. Although LloydsPharmacy patients can order online for next day delivery, through our extended partnership with Deliveroo, more patients across the UK can access the care supplies they need in just 30 minutes.
“We're committed to improving patient care, giving them greater choice and control as to how, where, and when they access care and medicines. The extension of our partnership with Deliveroo plays an important role in that mission.”
