If you were hoping for a week of hanging the washing on the line, mowing the lawns and planting the vegetable boxes - you might to think again. The weather in Manchester is set to be up and down all week - with thunder potentially on the forecast.
Across Greater Manchester, residents can expect some brighter days, with heavy showers and winds on the way, too.
According to the Met Office, today will see sunny spells, but you may still want to take your umbrella out.

The forecast reads: “Rain clears northwards, leaving sunny spells and scattered showers, these perhaps heavy with a risk of thunder at times. Becoming drier into the afternoon with sunny spells developing and winds easing. Maximum temperature 12 °C.”
Later tonight will be largely dry, but will ‘become increasingly cloudy with outbreaks of rain likely’, and light wind into the morning with lows of 6°C
Tomorrow is also predicted to be ‘largely dry with some brighter spells’. The Met Office added: “Risk of showers at times especially in the south. Feeling quite cold in the strengthening northeasterly wind. Maximum temperature 13 °C.”
Meanwhile, later in the week there will be outbreaks of rain on Monday, ‘possibly wintry over high ground’.
It's expected to be drier on Tuesday with sunny spells although cooler, with temperatures below average, followed by isolated showers on Wednesday.
Before you let the weather put a dampener on your plans ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend, it’s worth double checking the forecast throughout the weekend to check for any changes.
