Manchester United XI vs Wolves: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

Skipper: Bruno Fernandes - (London Standard)

Manchester United have not received a double defensive injury boost for tonight’s trip to face Wolves in the Premier League.

Matthijs de Ligt missed the 1-1 draw with West Ham at Old Trafford on Thursday evening with a “minor knock".

Teenager Ayden Heaven deputised at the back but struggled in the first half, picking up a yellow card, before being replaced at the break.

Ruben Amorim was hopeful that De Ligt will return at Molineux, and was also positive about Diogo Dalot.

The full-back put United into the lead against the Hammers with his first goal in over 18 months, but soon after had to be withdrawn after signalling to the bench that he had picked up an issue.

Asked for an update on the pair after the West Ham game, Amorim said he thought they would be available, adding: "We'll see."

However, de Ligt is not named in the squad, but Dalot retains his place at left wing-back.

Matheus Cunha starts up top against his former club, after making his return from injury last time out. He is partnered Bryan Mbeumo in attack, and Mason Mount is recalled.

United remain without Benjamin Sesko due to a knee injury, while Harry Maguire is still sidelined with a hamstring issue.

Man Utd XI: Lammens; Mazraoui, Heaven, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dalot; Mount, Mbeumo; Cunha

Subs: Bayindir, Dorgu, Malacia, Martinez, Yoro, Mainoo, Ugarte, Lacey, Zirkzee

Injured: Sesko, Maguire, de Ligt

Time and date: 8pm GMT today on Monday December 8, 2025
