Manchester United have included JJ Gabriel in their squad for today’s pre-season friendly against Rosenborg.
The 15-year-old wonderkid has been making waves with his performances both in training and in the academy teams at Old Trafford, with the potential now for first-team minutes as he makes the trip to Norway with Michael Carrick’s first-team squad on Friday.

Results, of course, are not the most important part of pre-season, but Man Utd will be keen to get off the mark for the summer this afternoon after falling short against Wrexham in Helsinki last time out.
Carrick played different teams in each half of that game, and can be expected to repeat the trick against Rosenborg.
A few of his players remain unavailable, though. Benjamin Sesko is still shaking off a shin injury, while Matthijs de Ligt is in recovery after undergoing back surgery. New goalkeeper Karl Darlow is also recovering from a minor procedure performed at the end of last season.
Carrick named a team of predominantly first-team players from the off against Wrexham. Changes were to be expected against Rosenborg, but he has been keen to keep his main core playing together.
As such, summer signing Andrey Santos continues in midfield and partners Mason Mount.
Joshua Zirkzee is still linked with a move away from United this summer but got the nod up top against Wrexham and keeps his place. On the flanks, Patrick Dorgu and Bryan Mbeumo will relish the chance to get more minutes in the legs, while Shea Lacey comes into the side.
Radek Vitek starts despite asking to leave the club in an interview given following the Wrexham match.
Youngster Tynan Thompson is not involved after completing an £8million transfer from Tottenham earlier this week.
